Huy’s focus toward themes of identity, memory, and the emotional landscapes of those separated from their loved ones. With a quiet, tender, and sincere gaze, he observes his subjects from a distance, using photography as a tool to process hidden emotions and seek comfort. Huy works with a wide range of photographic tools and techniques, believing that each offers a unique perspective. His projects are often presented as image sequences in printed form, allowing him to guide the viewer through layered narratives that can unfold in multiple directions. Huy also incorporates fabric, projection, and video into his work, using these mediums to further explore and reinterpret his visual stories.

Huy holds an Associate Degree and is currently completing his Bachelor of Arts in Photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
